We'd like to thank everyone who came out to help us set up and tear down the Student Art Exhibit at the Lumina Center last weekend! We would never be able to do it without so many great volunteers who brought trucks, a trailer, and muscles to help us to transport and set up those walls, and then take them down and put them away when the show is over. Thanks as well to the Lumina Center for letting us use their gym year after year! Thanks to the art teachers who also volunteer their time to help the kids to show off their art by preparing it,hanging it, taking it down, and manning the table during the show. Thanks as well to parents, grandparents, and the community that came out to see how talented these kids are! We hope you enjoyed the show and that you will continue to support it!
We've just updated the website again! Thanks to Lyndsay at Metaphysics: A Spirited Space for adding several new workshops and a monthly Zen coloring night! Check those out, and don't forget to stop by the store on Woodbine Ave!
Jenny's got some new workshops scheduled, and Staci is bringing back the monthly Open Stitches, as well as an event for Worldwide Knit in Public Day! Lisa and Staci are putting together a "literature appreciation group on steroids," especially for lit/film geeks who love period pieces and costume dramas! Check out the website and watch the Mifflin Juniata Arts Council's FB page for Event postings! |
