Chalk Pastels, April 2014
Instructor Angela Niman gave us an overview of Georgia O'Keefe's abstracts. We each chose a colorful picture of a flower or a sea creature, and masked off a small part of it.
We drew that small part in pencil, filling our blank black papers with it.
And then we colored our drawings with chalk pastels.
It was just like coloring . . .
. . . except we used our fingers to smudge the chalk and mix the colors together.
Ray adds some highlights.
