Mold Making Workshop with Bryson Wagner, March 2013

Bryson Wagner explains it all . . .

. . . as his students listen intently.

This is the positive. It was already sculpted in clay. Now they're going to make the negative so they can make more of these nifty mushrooms!

Bryson mixes the mold material.

Bryson fills the box with the mold material, covering the positive sculpture.

When the material is cured, Bryson and Angela remove the plexiglass box.

The positive and the negative. Now we can make more mushrooms just like the original!

This makes Angela very happy!

Now everyone gets to play!

Jenny makes an MJAC disc.

And so does Jesse.

Ray makes one, too! In fact, everyone at the workshop got to make one. We have a few of these cool little MJAC logo casts hanging around Gallery 2West. Stop in and check them out! We also have some of Bryson's work in the front window - including the sign he made for us! Check it out!
